This year, Chicago’s largest lakefront music festival runs from Thursday, August 1st, to Sunday, August 4th.
Pro tip: If you opt for the exclusive “Lolla Insider” package, you can attend a pre-festival mixer on Wednesday, July 31st. More on that later…
Timings
The main festival will run from 11 AM to 10 PM.
However, if you’re looking for late-night action, check out their aftershows. They run from 11 PM till the early hours.

Lollapalooza takes place in Grant Park as it’s always done. The aftershows occur at various Chi-town venues.

Wondering, “How do I get to Lollapalooza?” Allow us to break it down for you:
Subway / the “L”
For the Michigan & Ida B. Wells entrance
Harold Washington Library-State/Van Buren Station: Brown, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines.
LaSalle Station: Blue Line.
Jackson Station (Red Line): Red Line.
For the Columbus & Monroe entrance
Monroe Station: Red Line.
Adams/Wabash Station: Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines.
Bus routes
Michigan Avenue Routes: #3, #4, #6, #12, #26, #143, etc. Stop along Michigan Avenue close to either entrance.
State Street Routes: #29, #36, #62, etc. Run one block west of Michigan Avenue. Get off near Ida B. Wells Drive or Monroe and walk east towards Grant Park.
Nearby parking
Discounted parking is available at multiple nearby locations, including Millennium Lakeside, Millennium Park, and Grant Park North Garages.
Other options
You can also rent a bike via Divvy or catch a cab on Uber/Lyft.

You can opt for basic entry or go with ultra-luxurious admission tiers.
Here’s the lowdown:
General Admission & GA+ tickets
General Admission is the most budget-friendly Lollapalooza ticket.
Starting at $149 for 1 day and $409 for all 4 days.
You get access to all the music, free water stations, and entry to most areas. You can also take your children along for Kidzapalooza.
If you want lounges to escape the heat, and a private bar, consider GA+. $255 for 1 day and $775 for all 4.

Welcome to the Aftershows - Lolla-affiliated events featuring headliners and new talent.
There are many Aftershows at different venues like Thalia Hall, The Vic, Reggies, and House of Blues.
Typically, the aftershows begin AFTER Lolla ends, so you’ll have time to reach your preferred venue.
The headline performance doesn’t start before midnight. Expect to groove till the small hours.
Are they ticketed separately? Yes, and they sell out, too. Some Lolla ticket tiers entitle you to presales for aftershow tickets.
